NEW FOUND GLORY

New Found Glory’s 4th album Catalyst is officially 20 years old and it definitely hasn’t All Downhill From Here! The second leg of this tour saw Florida’s own do four dates in California before they did both dates of When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas. This album was such a defining time of my childhood and getting the chance to see album play from start to finish felt as if I was transported to the early 2000’s when my brother showed me music that eventually shaped my music taste and that of many others. But with all the staples that Catalyst brought us, we also got treated to Jordan Pundik rocking not one but two wigs as he belted his heart out to Disney hits “Part of Your World” and “Let it go”. Both wigs of course suit each song as Ariel and Elsa respectively, overall New Found Glory gave Los Angeles a night that was memorable for everyone in attendance and we can’t wait to be singing this album for the next 20 years!

Sincere Engineer

Chicago based pop punk greats, Sincere Engineer supports New Found Glory on the Catalyst 20 Years Later tour as their opening act. Los Angeles welcomed them with a warm reception to get the night started, their music makes you want to bop around and bounce off the walls with all the emotions of rebellion, power, and weirdly enough corn dogs! This was my first time getting the Sincere experience and I can say for certain that this band has a home away from home in California. They pull together all different genres of punk which gives them this unique sound of rageful storytelling. My favorite part of the set was when frontman Deanna Belos asked us if anyone liked corn dogs and it got one of the biggest crowd reactions from an opening act I’ve ever seen. One thing’s for sure, LA loves both corn dogs and Sincere Engineer!
