A night filled with hair flips, powerful voices, and connection—The 'Can We Start Over?' Charlotte Sands Tour, featuring Senses and Cloe Wilder, was not only my first time shooting a show with a press pass, but also my first time ever hearing any of these artists' music! I had an amazing time and not only got to shoot some stellar performances, but also became a fan of each group by the end of the night. Before even entering the venue, I connected with another photographer, Matt, who shot for a local publication like me and while waiting for the show to start I met many dedicated fans. Some had even attended previous shows on this same tour. One of the girls ended up being called on by Maddie (the Lead singer of Senses) herself to sing the rap verse to a popular Jonas Brothers song. She killed it and impressed the crowd and band alike. As I mentioned before, I had never shot a concert like this. However, thanks to another lovely photographer, Jess, whom I met in the crowd, I got to see firsthand what professionalism looked like when navigating the crowd to get those perfect shots. I watched her introduce herself to a group of fans and explain that she would only be there for three songs, and then she would leave. They were very understanding, and when the third song ended, I watched her peacefully scoot out of the way so the audience members could enjoy the show!
Below is a gallery showcasing all three performances of the night. These are also available on The Kore’s main page as well as own photo page. Thanks so much to the tour's management for this opportunity, as well as my business partner Liza for letting me use her camera for the show :)
